Cobb County police have issued an arrest warrant for a Smyrna man accused of stealing more than $10,000 from his former employer, FedEx, by pretending to work there after he quit.

According to police, Jose L. Villareal left his job at FedEx on May 31, 2013, but continued to use his employee identification card to obtain shipping discounts. Police said on several occasions between the time of his departure and March 6, 2014, Villareal represented himself as a current FedEx employee in order to steal money from his former employer. Villareal has been charged with theft by deception.

RE: "Villareal represented himself as a current FedEx employee in order to steal money from his former employer."

More accurate: "he used his FEDEX ID to obtain discounts on FEDEX shipping."

Not to mention the suspect's last name is spelled wrong.
