BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Hollywood Trucks LLC, based in Baton Rouge, La., is expanding its fast-growing film transportation business to Georgia.

Andre J. Champagne, founder and chief executive officer of Hollywood Trucks, tells The Advocate on Thursday the company now has an exclusive five-year contract to provide transportation services to Pinewood Atlanta Studios, located south of Atlanta at Fayetteville, Georgia.

"It's a world-class facility," Champagne said of the Pinewood studio complex. "And this is a brand new fleet (of trucks and other vehicles) being built specifically for that studio."

Since its formation in 2007 with seven vehicles, Hollywood Trucks has increased its Louisiana fleet to more than 400 trucks, trailers and other vehicles. The fleet is split between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

Sales in 2013 totaled more than $5 million, Champagne said. That was far beyond Hollywood Trucks' revenue in its first full year of operations, 2008, when the total was $607,479.

"We're delighted to embark on this exclusive deal with Hollywood Trucks, joining Pinewood's own venture into Georgia," said Brian Cooper, vice president of operations for Pinewood Atlanta Studios.

Champagne said record numbers of films and television series being made in Louisiana and Georgia "enabled companies like Hollywood Trucks and Pinewood Atlanta Studios to partner and innovate."

State tax incentives in both Louisiana and Georgia also have helped spur that growth in film and television production.
