A local woman has been charged with theft by taking after police say she took money from a cash drawer at the hhgregg where she was an employee.

According to police, Anquetta Washington took $4,767 from a cash register at hhgregg on Cobb Place Lane in Kennesaw between Feb. 1 and May 5.

According to the warrant, Washington worked at the store and took the money while closing down the cash drawers at the end of her shifts.

According to the warrant, she admits to taking the cash and says she did so by laying it out on the desk, covering it with paper and walking out of the store with the money concealed.
