Silverton Mortgage Specialists Inc., which has three offices in Cobb County, announced 13 of its top performing loan originators were recognized in the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia’s 2013 Gold Awards program, up from Silverton Mortgage’s seven recognitions in 2012. In addition, Silverton Mortgage’s award winner total exceeds any other non-bank-owned mortgage company in the state of Georgia.

The MBAG Gold Awards program recognizes those loan originators who demonstrate excellence in mortgage banking through loan production, continuing education, professional ethics and involvement with the association.

The following individuals earned the MBAG Gold Award for exceeding $10 million in production volume: loan originators Reid Clark, Mike Garrett and Amy Wilemon — all of the east Cobb office, 3855 Shallowford Road in Marietta; loan originator Gladys Marceli and branch manager Gareth Thomas, both of the Kennesaw office, 1301 Shiloh Road in Kennesaw; and loan originator Dan Dadoun of the Vinings office, 2255 Cumberland Parkway in the Cumberland area.

Silverton Mortgage also announced that the east Cobb office has hired Sarah Crickey as a loan originator; the Kennesaw office has hired Juli Breed as an office assistant, and Jenny Baker and Lori Muffoletto as loan originators; and the Vinings office has hired Kaci Jackson and Ed Williams as loan originators.
