The city of Kennesaw is partnering with WellStar to offer a free biometric health screening event for residents today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Community Center.

The screenings are offered in support of Fit City Kennesaw, a wellness initiative designed to address the increasing rate of obesity and concerns over the health of Kennesaw residents. Total cholesterol and glucose screenings will be performed with a finger stick, with results received in minutes.

The center is at 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw.

The city will also have a blood drive today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Center. Most healthy people who are at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds are eligible to donate blood every 56 days.

For more information, call the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department at (770) 422-9714.
