Wastewater manhole overflow into Sope Creek reported Monday

The Cobb County Water System reported Tuesday that there was a sewer overflow in the county on Monday.

A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in 460 gallons discharged into Sope Creek, occurred at 1:31 p.m. Monday at 2940 Blue Sky Place NE in Marietta. The overflow, which was caused by gravel, was stopped at 5:15 p.m.
