Keller Williams associates may be taking the day off Thursday, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with the Keller Williams Cityside office have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, the company’s annual day of service dedicated to renewing, energizing and donating to their local communities.

As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Realty Cityside will spend the morning with the second and third-graders at Smyrna Elementary to help man the activity stations along with some local mascots. In the afternoon, the volunteer brigade will head over to Delmar Gardens Retirement Community in Smyrna to host an afternoon social. Smyrna has made a commitment to building strong schools, and Keller Williams Realty Cityside wanted to support that effort and give back to the community by supporting two terrific Smyrna establishments.

Since the first RED Day in 2009, Keller Williams associates have given almost a half million hours of community service through activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, revamping gardens at nursing homes and rebuilding homes and schools for community members in need. To this day, it is one of the largest events in the real estate industry.

Keller Williams Realty Cityside Market Center is at The Rawls Group, 3350 Atlanta Road, Smyrna. It is a full-service real estate firm with 152 sales associates.

The Northwest Metro Life Member Club, a chapter of the AT&T Pioneers, recently collected bottled water for their bi-annual Operation Hydration drive. The group collects donations of bottled water twice each year (Memorial Day and Veterans Day) for the USO, which distributes it to military personnel passing through Ft. Stewart and Ft. Benning. The group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at Freeman Poole Senior Center in Smyrna.

Congratulations to the Chicken & the Egg, located at 800 Whitlock Ave, Suite 124, Marietta. We heard through the grapevine that it was voted one of Open Table’s Diner’s Choice, “2014 Best Brunch Restaurants in America.”
