Two sewer overflows reported in Cobb on Sunday

The Cobb County Water System reported Monday there were two sewer overflows in the county May 4.

A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in 870 gallons discharged into Noonday Creek, occurred at 9:57 a.m. Sunday at 1638 Rex Drive in Marietta. The overflow was stopped at 12:10 p.m.

The second overflow, resulting in 780 gallons discharged into Olley Creek, occurred at 12:44 p.m. Sunday at 4165 Rhinehart Drive in Austell. The overflow was stopped at 12:50 p.m.
