In anticipation of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Georgia District Office announced its 2014 Small Business Week award winners. Recipients are being formally recognized at the annual Small Business Week awards luncheon hosted by the Georgia Quality Lenders Circle today in Atlanta.

Local winners were:

Terri ElHaddaoui, the SBA Women’s Business Center Director for The Edge Connection at the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University, who won the Women in Business Champion of the Year award.

Kennesaw State University’s Small Business Development Center won the Small Business Development Center of the Year award.

Each year since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of Small Business Week. This year marks the 50th anniversary. National Small Business Week will be from May 12 to May 16.
