Damion D. Davis, born 1987, of Marietta, first drew a charge of simple assault after reportedly threatening a woman with the umbrella/sword when she reportedly accused him of taking several items from her room.
According to police, Davis then turned the concealed weapon on a man who tried to get in between the two to break things up, leading to a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon. The incident happened on the morning of April 19 on Lorene Drive in Marietta.
Once police arrived, the warrant says it took three males to break the man’s grip on the umbrella/sword. Police said Davis then hid the umbrella/sword under a staircase, hoping authorities wouldn’t notice. Those actions led to charges of obstruction of law enforcement and carrying a concealed weapon without a license.
