True’s homer in the second inning gave Mount Paran a 2-0 lead. The Eagles put the game away with a four-run fifth, highlighted by Reed Massey’s two-run triple. Jack Rowan added a hit and an RBI in the inning.
The only hit Maxwell gave up was an infield single to deep shortstop in the third inning. He struck out four in earning his eighth win of the season.
North Cobb 16, Pebblebrook 4 (5 inn.): Ryan Schmitz hit a two-run homer and Trevor Devine added a solo shot to lead the Warriors to a Region 4AAAAAA victory and a home playoff series.
North Cobb (17-9, 11-5) will open the Class AAAAAA playoffs at home on Friday as the No. 2 seed thanks to Campbell’s upset victory over Marietta.
The Warriors scored five runs in the first and third innings to break the game open.
Chandler Seivers had a two-run single and drove in three, Elijah Sepnieski was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI, Tyler Queen had a double and drove in two, Tyler Martin had an RBI double and Nolan Greckel was 2-for-3.
Chad McClanahan pitched a complete game scattering five hits and striking out seven.
McEachern 10, Kennesaw Mountain 1: Brent Alford was 4-for-5 and drove in four to lead the Indians to a key Region 4AAAAAA victory and a spot in the Class AAAAAA playoffs.
McEachern (15-10-1, 10-6) will be the No. 4 seed and will open the postseason on the road on Friday.
Trey Harris was 4-for-5 with two RBIs, Jared Walker was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI and Zach Smith finished 2-for-3.
T.J. Clark pitched six innings and struck out 12 in the win.
Campbell 3, Marietta 2: Zac Neu pitched a complete game for the Spartans in their upset over Marietta.
He gave up two runs on three hits. He had one strikeout and four walks.
Austin Green was 3-for-4 for the Spartans with an RBI. Imani Willis was 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and a run scored. Dalton Isley was 1-for-3 with an RBI double in the first.
Lassiter 9, Woodstock 5: Lassiter secured the fourth Region 5AAAAAA playoff spot with its home win over the Wolverines.
Lassiter (11-15, 8-6) took a 5-0 lead into the top of the sixth, but went into the home half of the frame with the score tied at 5-all. The Trojans rebounded by sending eight batters to the plate and scoring four runs on only two hits.
Randle Heller went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI for Lassiter, which had 11 hits and won the tiebreaker over Etowah for the fourth position. Grant Berry was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Casey Robbins batted 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Taylor Buice, who entered in the sixth, gave up one earned run off two hits in 2/3 innings to get the victory. Jonathan McKinney got two outs in the seventh and Jacob Anthes struck out the final batter with two runners on base.
Allatoona 10, Villa Rica 0 (6 inn.): Allatoona improved to 24-2 overall and 19-1 in Region 5AAAAA with the win. The host Buccaneers scored three in the third and four in the sixth to win the shortened game.
Drew Swanson was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Brady Eeles was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Devyn Brooks was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Clarke Schmidt got his seventh win on the mound, allowing one hit and throwing 11 strikeouts.
Allatoona will host Creekview in the first round of the Class AAAAA state playoffs next Friday.

Walker (14-8, 13-7) will now have to wait until the power ratings come out next week to see which team it will face in the opening round of the Class A private school playoffs.

North Cobb Christian 15, Mount Zion-Carroll 0: Ryan Martin threw a no-hitter as the Eagles rolled to a Region 6A victory.
Martin struck out three and allowed only two batters to reach base.
Canon Robinson provided the big hit with a grand slam. Robinson, James Bitner and Robert Gnann each had two hits in the game.
Allatoona 3, Lakeside-DeKalb 2: Like they did in Allatoona’s first round Class AAAAA state playoff victory, the freshmen No. 2 doubles team of Josh Cumbie and Kyle Geiss clinched the Buccaneers second round win.
Cumbie and Geiss won 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to advance the Buccaneers to the state quarterfinals for the second straight season.
Andrew Weisser won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Keenan Shaw and Justin Cumbie won 6-2, 6-1.
Allatoona is at Northview on Wednesday.
Kennesaw Mountain 3, Coffee 2: Samantha Armas won her singles match 6-0, 6-0 to help lead the Lady Mustangs into the third round of the Class AAAAAA state playoffs.
Kennesaw Mountain (20-3) will host either North Cobb or Newnan next week.
The No. 1 doubles team of Chika Okonkwo and Sophia Suri won 6-1, 6-1, as did the No. 2 team of Ivy Evatt and Samantha Maddin 6-2, 6-2.
Whitefield Academy 16, Woodward Academy 6: Justin Brendel scored six goals and Alex Manning added five goals with two assists to lead the Wolfpack to a regular-season ending victory.
David Ballew scored two goals with four assists, Jonathan Wood had a goal with three assists and Marcus Jones and Braelin Phillips each had a goal.

Kell 19, North Paulding 0: Fifteen of Kell’s 19 goals were scored in the first half.
Thirteen different players scored for Kell (15-1, 8-0). Jessica Armstrong had five goals and three assists to lead the Lady Longhorns and Jennifer Buckley had two goals. Haley Swift had one goal and added five assists.
Kell will play at Etowah on Tuesday.
Lassiter 21, Charlotte Latin (N.C.) 2: Mary Carter Putnam had six goals in Lassiter’s one-sided win over its out-of-state opponent and Heather Silbaugh added three more.
Both Lindsey Whitten and Alex Fusco had two goals and one assist apiece and Lucy Mills and Cydney Tutchton had one goal and three assists each.
Cara Anderson chipped in with six saves at goal.
Lassiter (13-2, 5-0) will host Walton today in an Area 2AAAAAA game.
Pope finishes third in region: Pope qualified for its Class AAAAA sectional at Canongate I Golf Club in Sharpsburg May 5 after finishing third in its Region 7AAAAA championship with a score of 283 at Bentwater Golf Club Wednesday.
Cambridge won the match after firing 225. Creekview (255) placed second.
