Walton 2, Roswell 1: Zac Kristofak lasted six innings on the mound, improving to 3-1 for the season, and Glenn Panter earned the save to give Walton a close victory.
The Raiders scored both of their runs in the first inning, when Luke Manzo and Chase Burks hit consecutive doubles, followed by a single from Henry Rowling to score Burks from third.
Kristofak allowed just three hits against six strikeouts.
Walton (19-6, 10-3 Region 5AAAAAA) will host Roswell today.
Harrison 14, Hillgrove 2: Hayden Messina went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the Hoyas, scoring two runs and two RBIs.
Ross Neely was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, four runs scored and an RBI. Andrew Patrick was 2-for-2 with a sacrifice bunt, and Tanner Weeks was 2-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored.
Starting pitcher Chandler Firestine earned the win in 3 2/3 innings of work, improving his record to 5-2 on the year. Ben Brock finished the final 3 1/3 frames.
Harrison (16-8, 9-6 Region 4AAAAAA) will host Hillgrove on Friday.
Lassiter 7, Woodstock 1: Nick Espisito led at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, followed by two RBIs on two hits from Tim Eber.

On the mound, Nate Dupree lasted six innings, striking out six, to improve to 4-5 on the year. Cam Ricks entered to finish the game and struck out one batter.
Lassiter (10-15, 7-6 Region 5AAAAAA) will host Woodstock on Friday.
Walker 18, St. Francis 1 (3 inn.): Walker scored a season-high in runs with five in the first inning, four in the second and nine in the third.
Fifteen batters came to the plate in the Wolverines’ nine-run third inning. Gaines Lahue batted 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Cameron Bloebaum was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
James Pittinger, who finished with four RBIs, went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run in the third. Zach Eikost was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs as well.
Zach Mudge hit 2-for-2 with an RBI and Jake DePiero had a two-run single for Walker, which collected 14 hits.
Alex Watkins (2-1) gave up one unearned run off two hits over three innings pitched.
Walker (14-8, 12-7 Region 6A) will play for the region No. 3 seed Friday as it hosts Trion.
Marietta 2, Lithia Springs 0: Though they lost out on a tiebreaker for a state playoff berth, the Blue Devils capped the season with a seven-game winning streak.
Sam Borgel and Will Nelson each had goals, with Nelson assisting Borgel.
Salvador Hernandez saved four shots for Marietta (10-8).
Kennesaw Mountain 4, Mount Paran Christian 0: The Lady Mustangs closed out the regular season with a shutout, paced by four different goal-scorers.
Vannah Moreland, Tayler Hartrampf, Olivia Guajardo and Cheyenne Golden each scored. Moreland also had two assists, while Hartrampf had one.
Meredith Bailey made three saves for Kennesaw Mountain (11-6-1), which will host Alcovy in a first-round Class AAAAAA state playoff game Wednesday.
Mount Paran (9-7) will host Mount Pisgah Christian on May 2 in a first-round game of the Class A private-school playoffs.
Marietta 11, Lithia Springs 0: All three seniors scored, and nine players found the back of the net as Marietta won a game called at halftime.
Kennedy Folse and Mikayla Goins each scored two goals, while seniors Yadira Castillo, Riley Nelson, and Jennifer Yanes included themselves in the scoring barrage. Ivy Shannon, Henley Tullos, Ashton Adams, and Laura DeAmorin also scored.
Lithia Springs had no shots on goal.
Marietta (8-8) will begin Class AAAAAA state playoff action Wednesday.
Roswell 12, Walton 9: The Raiders dropped into third place in Area 2AAAAAA as the regular season enters its final week.
Josh Peretz led Walton (10-6, 5-2) with three goals, while Cameron Wiley and Ryan Jones each had two. Jack Whittaker and Michael Gernatt scored one apiece, with Gernatt contributing five assists and Wiley two.
Jake Hornberger made eight saves for Walton, which will face Tennessee power Montgomery Bell as part of the Legacy Cup tournament Saturday at Alpharetta’s North Park.
Kell 15, Northview 11: Kell came back from a 7-5 halftime deficit and, after a back-and-forth affair for most of the second half, pulled away with late goals from Jessica Armstrong and Haley Swift.
Swift led the team with four goals and four assists, while Izzy Palermo had three goals and two assists. Leslie Ferguson had a hat trick and an assist, Talen Francis scored two goals and an assist and Armstrong had two goals.
Hannah Rozen recorded 10 saves for Kell (14-1), which will host North Paulding today.
Mount Paran Christian 3, North Cobb Christian 2: Jared Knox and Michael Sloan won a tough match 5-7, 7-5, 6-2, to clinch the Eagles’ win in the semifinals of the Area 4A tournament.
Will Burton (6-4, 6-3) and Patrick Weindorfer (6-0, 6-1) also won for Mount Paran, which will host Christian Heritage for the area title today.
Burton (6-2, 6-1), Weindorfer (6-1, 6-1) and the team of Knox and Sloan (6-3, 2-6, 6-2) also won in a quarterfinal with Walker earlier in the day.
North Cobb 3, Newton 0: Rohman Mitchell and Richard Johnson recorded singles shutouts, as did the team of Preston Lahmann and Jake Tuchman, to lead the Warriors in the first round of the Class AAAAAA state playoffs.
North Cobb (16-4) will host either Westlake or Lowndes in the second round.
Walton 3, North Gwinnett 1: Francis Yang was the lone winner for the Raiders in singles action of the first-round Class AAAAAA state playoff match, winning 6-2, 6-1.
Walton took the match in doubles, as Crews Enochs and Raymond Zhang won 6-2, 6-2 and Jonathan He and Liam Villante won 6-0, 6-3.
Walton (12-2) will play at Brookwood in the second round.
Whitefield Academy 3, Darlington 0: A trio of straight-set victories provided the Wolfpack with a win in the Area 4A tournament.
Bennett Shilling (6-3, 6-2) and Justin Samples (6-3, 7-5) prevailed in singles play. Matthew Landry and David Lemasters also won at No. 1 doubles, not allowing a single game.
Allatoona 3, Kell 2: Kennedy Craig (6-0, 6-1), Allison Whitley (6-2, 6-3) and the duo of Lindsey Stowell and Corrie Williams (6-4, 6-4) helped the Lady Bucs through the first round of the Class AAAAA state playoffs.
Katie Tarbell (6-3, 6-3) and Shelby Nyburg and Dani Carroll (6-4, 6-2) won for Kell.
Allatoona will host the winner of Flowery Branch-Arabia Mountain next week.
Walton 3, Norcross 0: Bella Kuse (6-1, 6-1) and Suzanne Zenoni (6-2, 6-0) won in singles action, while Katie Riley and Jessica Cramer won 6-1, 6-0 in doubles action to complete the shutout win.
The Lady Raiders (14-0) will host Lambert today in the second round of the state playoffs.
Hillgrove 5, Alcovy 0: Hillgrove won its first-round Class AAAAAA state playoff match at home.
The Lady Hawks lost only four games during the match, with No. 3 singles player Taylor Cranford and the top doubles team of Hannah Creech and Emily Deubell earning 6-0, 6-0 victories.
Chioma Okonkwo and Jessica Cantrell won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Sarah Simm and Olivia Brooks earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Hillgrove will travel to Camden County on Monday for the round of 16.
Whitefield Academy wins twice: The Lady Wolfpack beat a pair of county rivals in the Area 4A tournament, winning 3-0 over North Cobb Christian and Walker.
Singles players Rachel Hicks, Kerry Anna Lemasters and Annie Sickling earned the points in both matches, with straight-set victories both times.
Walker 3, Mount Paran Christian 2: Mary Katherine Lewis (6-1, 6-0) and Madison Darling (6-0, 6-2) won in singles action for Mount Paran, but it wasn’t enough to send it past the quarterfinals in the Area 4A tournament.
Mount Paran finished the season with a 6-7 record.
Walton’s Williams wins region; team second: Abbey Williams claimed medalist honors at the Region 5AAAAAA championship at Woodmont Golf Club in Canton.
Williams fired a 76 to finish two strokes ahead of Etowah’s Tyler Dawson in the individual standings.
Williams automatically qualifies for the Class AAAAAA state tournament, which will be held May 19 at Gordon Lakes Golf Club at Fort Gordon.
As a team, the Lady Raiders placed second behind Etowah, which won the region championship with 241 team score. Walton did post a sectional qualifying mark of 249 and will compete in the May 5 sectional at Heron Bay Golf Course in Locust Grove.
Autumn Gabe (84) and Meredith Singer (88) contributed to Walton’s team score. Peyton Melcher shot 110.
Lassiter’s Annamarie Tepe finished the course with a score of 120.
