MARIETTA — Marietta Police are warning the city’s young residents that underage sex can result in a life sentence.

The Marietta Police Department is inviting parents and teenagers to attend a seminar on the true hazards of underage sex.

“It’s not just the worry of getting pregnant anymore, but now teens face potential criminal consequences to their actions that will literally affect them for the rest of their lives,” Officer David Baldwin said.

The seminar will cover the hazards and criminal consequences for sexting, the use of social media to pass images, underage sex and the victimization of teens as a result of these actions.

“Most teenagers probably don’t even know that their actions are even breaking the law and the end result can be devastating,” Baldwin said. “This seminar is a MUST for parents and teenagers.”

The seminar is tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Elizabeth Porter Recreation Center on Montgomery Street.

RE: The seminar will cover the hazards and criminal consequences for sexting, the use of social media to pass images, underage sex and the victimization of teens as a result of these actions.--

Geeezzz...sexting and passing images...this is just insane.

With a seminar being presented, you can bet the police are about to make this an issue to be looking for kids ("ADULTS" if the are over 17) who do dumb things and send out nekkid pictures of themselves.

We will next be hearing about the significant increase in "sex crimes".

Folks. This fight against "Sexting" and "passing images" of kids by kids is NOT going to protect kids...but it is dang sure going to kids who do dumb kid things into jail.

Let the police stop the murderers and robbers...then they can start looking for all of those sex offender kids in the local junior high schools.

The police state is here. It is not going to work out well for dumb kids who do dumb kid things.

("Gonna need some new prisons for 'dem sex offendin' chillens " )
