The annual rain or shine event features 75 restaurants, 12 food trucks, and caterers showcasing their best food. Tastes range in price from just $0.50 to $5. In addition, there is live entertainment throughout the day with five music stages and a sunset concert on the Main Stage in Glover Park featuring Yacht Rock Schooner as the headliner.
“(Taste) is a free event and people just have to bring cash to buy samplings of the recipes from the best restaurants in Cobb County. Or, they can use the ATMs onsite sponsored by Community Southern Bank,” said Maryclaire Andres, Taste event coordinator.
There is something for everyone such as games for children in the Kid’s Alley, a sports corner, cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs, Select Luxury Car Show with Ferraris and Rolls Royce’s, a new Hellbender Harley Davidson area at the Strand Theatre, and more.
“We try to add a new element to (Taste) each year. We get new and exciting restaurants involved, involving new music and new areas each year,” Andres said.
Taste of Marietta is bigger and better this year expanding down Church Street and Powder Springs Road. Andres said 75,000 people are expected to attend.
Taste of Marietta is a Cobb County tradition.
“We are the oldest Taste event in metro Atlanta and the largest. We have consistently been voted best event in Cobb County by Cobb Life Magazine readers for five years in row.
