The elderly female discovered Monday evening in Lake Arrowhead has been identified by police as Cindy Naterman, 70, of Waleska.

Naterman, a resident of the Lake Arrowhead community, was discovered at about 7:30 p.m. by two men fishing in the lake, said Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office.

An autopsy is scheduled for today at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab.

Cherokee Sheriff’s deputies responded to Lake Arrowhead, after the men reported they saw a body floating in the water, Baker said.

The Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services dive team removed the body from the lake, Baker said.
