MARIETTA — Marietta Police say a disorderly conduct arrest resulted in an officer being kicked in the face several times and head-butted by an Alabama woman.

Dixie Brown, of Auburn, Ala., was arrested by Marietta Police at 2 a.m. April 13 on Church Street.

According to the warrant, Marietta Police were initially responding to a disorderly conduct call, but when placing Brown in the back of the patrol car, she “hit her head several times on the inside guard window, causing a small laceration to her forehead.”

The warrant states Brown was transported to Kennestone Hospital for treatment but she became “increasingly disorderly and began to kick and scream violently.”

Security guards and extra nurses were called into restrain Brown who, according to arrest records, has a back tattoo that reads, “Life is Amazing.”

Brown faces charges of battery and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer. She was released from the Cobb Jail the same day and given a $5,000 bond.

What does it matter if she has a back tattoo? It is irrelevant to this story. I would be more interested to know if she has a past history of this type of behavior.

I find it amusing that this reporter always describes the tattoos the criminals have. While she told us about this person's back tattoo, she totally missed the fact that there is one visible on her neck in the photo.
