A woman police say stabbed a man with an eight-inch kitchen knife during an argument later claimed it was an accident.

According to a police warrant, Margaret Yvonne Olympio of Austell, stabbed a man on Shenandoah Trail in Austell on April 14 at about 11:15 p.m.

The victim was struck in the right shoulder blade. Olympio admitted to police the two had been in a verbal argument earlier in the evening, but said it was just an accident she stabbed him.

Olympio was charged with aggravated assault with intent to murder. She was released on $25,000 bond.
