A man suspected to have played a role in a violent home invasion was denied bond and remains in Cobb jail for now.

Josh Anthony Casborn of Marietta faces three counts of armed robbery with a weapon and three counts of aggravated assault with a weapon in an incident police say happened at 1:10 a.m. August 23 at on Franklin Road.

Police say Casborn entered a man’s apartment with a group armed with a gun and baseball bat. Police say Casborn then threatened the man and two of his roommates with the gun and baseball bat and pistol-whipped one of them.

The warrant says Casborn made off with several items, but was later identified by an orange bandanna he was wearing during the robbery. The bandanna was found next to a phone taken from the scene. According to police, DNA from the bandanna also matched Casborn.

I'm shocked. He looks like such a fine and upstanding young man.
