Totsy Walker recently completed a watercolor of Bobby Dodd Stadium at historic Grant Field. This is the 100th anniversary of Georgia Tech’s Grant Field.

Walker, who resides in St. Simons Island and Marietta, worked on the painting for a year. She is well known for her historic renditions of Georgia landmarks. Her works are dispersed throughout the country and have been displayed at the Cloister at Sea Island and The King and Prince Hotel in St. Simon’s. Her artwork is available at Live Local on the downtown Marietta Square.

A popular East Cobb tradition returns! On April 26 at 8 a.m., people from near and far will attend the semi-annual East Worthington community yard sale. This is the 15th year of the sale.

East Worthington neighborhood, consisting of about 300 homes, is located off Sandy Plains Road in Marietta.

“It is amazing what some of our residents sell — anything from baby clothes to World War I artifacts,” said Lindsey Caballero, East Worthington HOA board member. “It is so fun to see what kind of deals you can find, but it’s also just fun to get to know your neighbors from the same road and from surrounding neighborhoods. This event always builds community.”

Remember the early bird gets the worm. Last year, cars were lined up at 6:30 a.m.

Centerstage North presents “Always A Bridesmaid” by Jones, Hope and Wooten at the Art Place Mountain View in Marietta on May 9 to 17.

In this comedic romp, four friends have sworn to keep the promise they made on the night of their senior prom: to be in each other’s wedding, no matter what. More than 30 years later, these Southern friends-for-life are still making “the long walk” for each other, determined to honor that vow. Hop on this marriage-go-round for a laugh-out-loud journey with these beleaguered bridesmaids as they navigate the choppy waters of love and matrimony. Libby Ruth, Deedra, Monette and Charlie are committed to the notion that careers, waistlines and even marriages may disappear, but real friendships last a lifetime.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door.

The Art Place Mountain View is at 3330 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta
