David Holmes with east Cobb-based Re/Max Greater Atlanta was presented with the Re/Max Lifetime Achievement Award.

To receive Re/Max Lifetime Achievement status, an associate must have been affiliated with the Re/Max organization for at least seven years and have reached in excess of $100 million in career closed sales. Annually, an average of less than one percent of all agents in the Re/Max network achieve this prestigious award.

The award was personally presented to Holmes by Re/Max CEO Margaret Kelly at the company’s annual sales convention in Las Vegas, in front of some 8,000 fellow Re/Max sales associates.

Obtaining his Realtor license in 1996, Holmes joined Re/Max Greater Atlanta in 1999 and is celebrating 15 years with the company this year. He sells as The Holmes Team Inc., with his wife, Diane, rounding out the team as a licensed assistant. A retired U.S. Marine, he continuously served in the Marines, both active and reserve, from 1984 to 2009.

The Holmes Team is approaching 1,000 career sales transactions and, when not selling real estate, stays active in the community by spearheading Re/Max Greater Atlanta’s annual Toys for Tots drive in support of The United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program.
