Three Austell residents were arrested last week after a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy said they hindered the apprehension of a suspected felon.

On April 8 at 1:30 p.m., the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrived at an apartment on Whisper Trail, at the intersection of Interstate 20 and Factory Shoals Road.

According to a warrant, the officers were attempting to arrest Jamie Strudivant wanted on felony charges in Douglas County. The warrant states Strudivant, 18, of Austell is associated with the Cash Money Boys gang, which robbed the Atlanta West Jewelry on Douglas Boulevard on Feb. 3.

Accordint to the warrant, when officers arrived at the apartment, Briana Gray, Darian Stewart and Khalil Cooke, all of Austell stated Strudivant was not at the residence and had not been seen.

“Strudivant was found hiding inside the kitchen cabinet,” the warrant said.

According to the warrant, Gray, Stewart and Cooke were all charged with a felony count of hindering the apprehension of a criminal. They each were granted bond and have since been released from the Cobb County jail.
