Police: Atlanta man kicked out police car window

Marietta Police say an Atlanta man kicked out the rear passenger side window of a patrol car after they arrested him on charges of stealing foot spray from a Wal-Mart.

According to a warrant, Gregory Smith was arrested April 10 at the corner of Terrell Mill Road and South Cobb Parkway, outside of the Treasure Island Shopping Center.

According to the warrant, Smith stole one can of foot spray, valued at $4.27, from Wal-Mart then excited through the garden center.

The warrant stated Marietta Police found “a clear crack pipe” with suspected cocaine residue and Brillo in Smith’s left front pocket.

According to the warrant, while in the police car, Smith hit the rear passenger side window several times, pushing it out of the frame.

Smith faces three felony charges of theft by shoplifting, interference with government property, and possession of cocaine.

According to arrest records, Smith has been convicted of shoplifting three times, in 2007 and May 2013 in Dunwoody and June 2013 in Cobb. He was not granted a bond and has not been released from the Cobb County jail.
