Cobb Police investigating armed robbery

Cobb County Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General on Powder Springs Road in Marietta at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

According to investigators, a man entered the store and demanded the cash from the register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot towards the Horseshoe Bend subdivision.

The suspect was described as a black man, possibly in his 20s, and about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white gloves. He had a blue bandanna covering his face and was carrying a backpack with plaid colors. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
