Betty Ann Carpenter, affectionately known as Mimi, passed on April 7, 2014. She and her husband retired as owners of the Cupboard Restaurant. She was always full of life and to know her was to love her. She will be truly missed by her family and those who knew her. She is survived by daughters, Patricia Morreale (John), Pamela McCormick (John) both of Marietta; son, Charles Berryhill of Washington State; sister, Martha Harvey of Mississippi. She has seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is now with her loving husband again who preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 14 at 2:00 PM at SouthCare located on Franklin Road in Marietta.

This obituary is incorrect. George and Hazel Berdanis owned the Cupboard from its inception until it was sold. Betty Carpenter was an employee there, not an owner.
