Cumberland-based PowerPlan expands oil, gas expertise

Cumberland-based PowerPlan, a provider of accounting, tax and capital budgeting optimization solutions for businesses, announced new oil and gas team members experienced in operations, finance and tax.

Accepting the position of senior director of Product Strategy, Rahul Kothari brings almost a decade of experience as a professional engineer and product management professional in the oil and gas industry, including positions at Bechtel and Linde Gas. Kothari was most recently a senior project controls manager for BP, responsible for the project services function of the Whiting Refinery Modernization Project.

Joining the Strategic Tax Services team, Tom Pretti has more than a decade of experience as a certified public accountant and most recently was a member of Price Waterhouse Coopers Master Limited Partnership National Tax Practice. In this position, Pretti assisted clients in preparing K-1 reports and analyzing equity offerings impact to unit holders.

Bringing more than 15 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, property accounting, capital planning and SAP implementations, Peter De Acetis joins PowerPlan as a senior consultant. De Acetis’ tenure includes supervising budgeting and forecasting of fixed assets at Valero Energy and time spent as a financial analyst at Shell Oil.
