A Marietta man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the deprivation of a minor after Cobb Police were dispatched to a mobile home early Friday morning.

The warrant stated the home of Douglas Spak, off Atlanta Road between Clay Road and Austell Road, had dirty dishes in the kitchen, spoiled food in the refrigerator and trash throughout.

“When officers arrived, they met Shiloh Spak (the wife of Douglas Spak) who appeared to be under the influence of suspected methamphetamine,” the warrant said.

A 2-year-old child “appeared not to have been given a bath in some time,” the warrant said.

Although Douglas Spak was given a $2,500 bond, he has not been released from the Cobb jail.
