On April 26, the Kennesaw Police Department will be participating in the federal government’s nationwide prescription drug “Take-Back” initiative that seeks to prevent increased pill abuse and theft.

The  U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction at sites nationwide.

The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.  Local residents can bring prescriptions to the CVS Pharmacy at Cobb Parkway and Jiles Road in Kennesaw from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
