A Smyrna woman was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and listed in serious condition after being struck by a car on Friday afternoon while trying to cross Windy Hill Road, Marietta Police say.

Jacela Dee Delgado of Smyrna and her boyfriend were crossing Windy Hill Road, just west of the intersection with Cobb Parkway at 2:58 p.m. when a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Pamala Luchion of Marietta struck Delgado in the left straight lane, well west of the nearest pedestrian crosswalk, police say.

No charges are expected for Luchion. Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Brian Wallace at (770) 794-5266.
