AUSTELL — Cobb Police arrested an Austell man March 13 on charges of reckless conduct after police say he fired a gun in a public park surrounded by several homes.

Theodore Primus was accused of firing a weapon several times in the park late at night on March 12 because “he needed to let off some steam and the shooting range was not open,” the warrant said.

Primus was arrested on Pisgah Road off Old Alabama Road in Mableton after a witness reported hearing the gunshots.

He was released later on the same day of his arrest.
