Cobb Police arrested a Mableton man after police say he discharged a pistol six times into the air from the passenger seat of a moving vehicle on Clay Road.

Miguel Chavez is accused of threatening Luisa Guerrerro, the driver of the vehicle, with the gun.

According to the warrant, Chavez said, “You don’t know what I’m capable of. I could kill you.”

The warrant said Chavez admitted to being under the influence of alcohol the night of the incident.

He faces five misdemeanor counts, including disorderly conduct, simple assault, discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, discharging a firearm on a public street and reckless conduct.

Chavez was released on a $5,000 bond.
