A wreck that happened early Saturday morning in unincorporated Woodstock left a Marietta man dead at about 6:15 a.m., officials said.

the GSP spokesperson said John Henry Tabb IV, 27, of Marietta, was driving east on Arnold Mill Road when his 2010 Hyundai Genesis left the roadway in a curve.

“The vehicle struck a utility pole and the driver was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene,” the GSP spokesperson said. “He was not wearing a seat belt.”

The GSP spokesperson said blood was drawn to determine if alcohol contributed to the single-car wreck.

The Georgia State Patrol in Jasper is investigating the wreck, officials said.
