JEANNE ETHEL BREDBENNER HULL, age 97, passed away early Sunday morning on January 12, 2014. Born on December 25, 1916 in Reading, Pennsylvania. Jeanne died at home while on hospice in Woodstock, Georgia, where she lived with one of her nephews Sherwood Smith. Ms. Hull will be cremated and buried alongside her husband, noted conductor and educator Robert Leslie Hull at East Lawn Cemetery in Ithaca, New York later in the Spring when the ground thaws. However, a memorial service will be held for Jeanne B. Hull at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 569 Frasier Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060 at 2:00pm on March 2, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you remember Jeanne through memorial donations to the Disciples Mission Food Pantry at First Christian Church. Survivors include niece Anita Maureen Smith Neff of Ft. Myers, Florida; nephew Sidney Robert Smith of Pasadena, Maryland; nephew Sherwood Kenyon Smith of Woodstock, Georgia; and niece Louise Anne Stacy Gibson of Xenia, Ohio. Husband Robert Hull preceded Jeanne in death on February 12,1999 in Tucson, Arizona and brother Edgar Bredbenner, Jr. preceded her in death on September 8,2005,in Ithaca ,N.Y. Jeanne was a graduate of Cornell University in 1937 and taught grade school in Ithaca, was an administrator at the Cornell University, a hospital employee, and a docent at the University of Arizona’s Museum of Art, and, in addition she served as an assistant for her conductor husband for many years in Ithaca, N.Y.; North Carolina; Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas; and Tucson, Arizona; and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women. Also avid bird watchers, she and her husband loved the flora and fauna of the desert southwest, and fed thousands of gathering birds each morning and evening at their home on the northern outskirts of Tucson and later Jeanne continued the custom outside her Woodstock home on Lake Allatoona.
