Life University will host one of four NAIA qualifying tournaments today at the Eagle’s Nest.

The event begins at 9 a.m., with the finals scheduled for 6 p.m. The top four finishers in each weight class will receive an automatic berth to the national championships, which will be held March 7-8 in Topeka, Kan.

At-large selections to the national championships are decided at the conclusion of the qualifying tournaments by participating coaches.

Former McEachern standout and current Campbellsville wrestler Brandon Westerman is ranked No. 2 nationally at 141 pounds. Former Sprayberry standout

Colby Rinehart, who also wrestles at Campbellsville, is eighth at 141.

Life’s Oliver Brukardt (157), Trey Hicks (184) and Jacob Dempsey (197) are ranked in the top 16 of their respective weight classes.
