Greater Community Church of God in Christ in Marietta will play host to the 2014 Winter Leaders Summit today through Friday.

The summit will be held in conjunction with church’s Urban Initiatives Program.

The theme for the three-day gathering will be “Building Community, Impacting Culture (and) Remaining Christocentric.”

The two conferences have combined resources to shed light on some of urban America’s greatest challenges, including healthcare, education, financial literacy and homelessness.

Dr. Charles Moore, the director of the HEALing Center, a nonprofit health care center in southwest Atlanta, will also be sharing his experiences in founding the center and also the importance of various self-care techniques in alleviating health disparities in urban communities during the Summit luncheon at noon on Thursday.

For more information, call the church at (770) 590-8510.
