Raymond (Ray) Edward Taylor, 68, of Marietta GA passed away quietly at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta GA on February 2, 2014. Ray was born in Atlanta GA on January 3, 1946.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Fountain Taylor, of Smyrna, GA.  Ray was the awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for his service in the Vietnam War.  He spent his early years in the heavy equipment sales and service industry.  His latest endeavor was an automotive detail business in Marietta GA, Auto Tenders Inc., which he operated successfully for more than twenty years.  Survivors include daughter Michelle Gilbert of Fayetteville, GA, son Dustin Taylor of Rockmart, GA, brother Warren Taylor of Smyrna, GA, granddaughters Hollie Hughs of Norfolk, VA, and Kelsey Gilbert of Fayetteville, GA.  Services will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Thursday, February 20th at noon. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
