Ralph (James) Hylton, of Marietta, GA died Friday, February 7, 2014 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Iva Browning Hylton; two children, Jim Hylton of Marietta, GA and Janice Hylton of Millerton, NY; and two grandchildren. Ralph was born in Christiansburg, VA in 1922, but grew up in Akron, OH. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-1945, married in 1946, and graduated from Kent State University in 1948. He was employed by Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, OH (1948-1953), Timco Aircraft in Dallas, TX (1953-1955), and Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, GA (1955-1985) and afterwards was an independent engineering representative for over two decades. Ralph and Iva were charter members of John Knox Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA for five and a half decades. The funeral service will be held at 12 o’clock noon on Tuesday, February 11th at John Knox Church, 505 Powers Ferry Road SE. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:30-12:00 and also at the reception following the service at the church. A brief graveside service will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Directors, Canton Hill Chapel is honored to be handling his arrangements.

Janice, Just read of your fathers passing. So sorry, I only met him a few times and he was cool.Hope all is well with you. I am living in Woodstock. Would love to speak with you sometime.
