Jessie Anne Stephenson was greeted into Heaven by her daughter Linda, Son-in-law Ray, and Great Grandson Ethan on February 4, 2014.  Jessie was born February 6, 1930 in Niagara Falls, NY to Albert and Dorothea Duckett.  At the age of 7, she met Miles Leo Stephenson, Jr. and later became his wife, sharing over 64 years together.  They had 6 children, Linda (Dennis Rule), Miles, Paul (Pat), Carol (John Stiegler), Karen (Ray Stewart), and Rachel (Kerry Moore).  She had 19 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.  At a family gathering, Jessie was overheard asking Miles, “Are all of these people because of us?”  Jessie was a loving wife, mother, and a strong Christian.  She raised her children to have faith and trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to be kind and caring individuals.  The only goal in life she did not reach was living to see the rapture.  Mom, we know we will see you again, give our loved ones in heaven a big hug and kiss for us, especially Aunt Kay.

I have been blessed to have you as my Wife & Helpmate thru all these years and for the wonderful family we were to share together thru our love and understanding of their needs. As a family we survived the ups and downs that were tossed our way, and because of our love, faith,

devotion and love in Christ we will remain a family. See you in Heaven. Love Lb

First, my deepest condolence for your loss.

It seems awkward to approach you in this way. However, curiosity has gotten the better of me. Were you at one time briefly married to Ruth Shockley. If so, you would be my father.

Feel free to contact me at

The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage-Hospice in Marietta for their loving care of Mom and for keeping a watchful eye out on Dad. Thank you for everything you did!
