ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta police say a man who had been reported missing Thursday evening has been found dead near a rail yard on the city's northwest side.

Police say 86-year-old John Graham was found outside near the CSX Rail Yard on Marietta Road Northwest, about five miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.

Graham had been reported missing after he was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Temperatures reached 24 degrees in Atlanta early Friday morning, though police haven't said whether Graham died of exposure or some other cause. Police had said in a missing person alert that he was wearing a plaid shirt, navy pants and a white cap.

Police say there were no obvious signs of any crime.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine how he died.
