Jean Stevens-Edwards of Smyrna, Georgia, Fort Collins Colorado, and most recently Good Samaritan Society Village-Fort Collins, made her way to heaven on January 28, 2014. She was the second daughter born to B.D. and Lelia Hall of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was an important part of the lives of her family and friends for more than 87 years. And what a life it was. Jean travelled the world with friends and family, loved her chosen profession in the fashion industry, was one of the best cooks who ever walked into a kitchen, and when you needed a friend or help in any way Jean was always there. With very few exceptions, everyone she met fell under the “Jean spell” and they became a part of her friends and family group. She lived life to the fullest and expected everyone else to do the same. She was an incredible daughter, aunt, step-mother, grandmother, wife and Mother. She will be missed by all who were privileged to know her. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Chamberlain, Son-in-Law Ray Chamberlain, and many cousins, and grandchildren in Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Edwards; mother, Lelia Williams Hall; father, Banner Dobson Hall, Sr.; sister, Ruth Tucker; brothers, Jim Hall & B.D. Hall, Jr.; and son, Ronald William Stevens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Good Samaritan Society Village—Fort Collins, 508 W. Trilby Road, Fort Collins, CO 80525-4000, or to a charity of your personal choice. A memorial Service will be held on February 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Society Village Chapel, 508 West Trilby Road, Fort Collins, CO 80525. A second celebration of life will be held in Georgia in April.
