Another poll is out showing landslide opposition in this country to the misnamed Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. A Fox News-commissioned survey showed 59 percent of people opposed the law and only 36 percent favored it.

Nearly two-thirds, 63 percent, said the law will increase their taxes; 62 percent said the same about their insurance costs; and 44 percent said it will decrease the quality of health care in America. The poll was conducted jointly by Anderson Robbins Research, a Democratic firm, and Shaw & Company Research, a Republican firm, presumably mitigating political bias.

Thirty percent of the Democrats in the poll opposed the law, a jump of 10 percentage points from last June. Similarly, opposition from independents climbed from 53 percent to 64 percent in that period.

In view of such overwhelming opposition, you might ask why this law is still being implemented. Why is it not repealed? Answer: a Democratic president and Democrat-controlled Senate don’t care what the majority of Americans want. Obama and the Democrats rammed the law through Congress in the face of opposition from most Americans and continue to arrogantly defy the will of the people. There’s no remedy except at the ballot box in the coming elections.

And as bad as the already observed effects of the law are, U.S. Rep. Tom Price (R-Roswell), a physician, spelled out a worsening scenario ahead at a luncheon with business leaders at Vinings Bank last week. He predicted that in the next six months, many people will get hit with much higher premiums than expected and out-of-sight deductibles.

In the past, he said, deductibles have usually ranged from $1,000 to $2,000. Under Obamacare, deductibles for most individuals start in the $5,000-$6,000 range — or two to five times higher than past norms. For a family of four, the deductible will be $12,500. “That’s out of pocket,” Price emphasized. That’s also on top of much higher premiums, also out of pocket — on top of the broken promise, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it. Period.” Instead, there are government-mandated health care plans millions can’t afford.

Obama’s job disapproval was at 53 percent in the new poll. Likewise, the majority disapproves of his handling of the economy (59 percent), “income inequality” (52 percent), immigration (54 percent), Iran (53 percent), gun control (57 percent) and the federal deficit (66 percent). Sixty-two percent are not satisfied with the way things are going in this nation, and a whopping 74 percent said it feels like we’re still in a recession. Fifty-five percent believe that, contrary to what Democrats say, cutting taxes and reducing government regulations would help the economy.

Bottom line: The vast majority of Americans oppose the Obama agenda, especially the unaffordable health care act which is wrecking health insurance for millions and millions of people. Yet Obama and the Democrats ignore the plight of the people and continue to look down their noses at the majority, never mind the plight of people — “Let them eat cake.”

"Let them eat cake", sorry Don, in case you haven't noticed the wealthiest 1% has gotten all the cake! Everyone else is getting the crumbs.

I recall a poll that said an overwhelming majority of Americans opposed the Iraq war when it was in full swing. When asked about the poll results, Dick Cheney famously said, "So?"

I trust Fox News polls about as much as I trust Fox News on anything.

You can show bias in the way you report or what you choose not to report.

Fox News is giving you news you do not want to hear. For 50 years I heard what the MSM wanted me to hear... now I get to hear "the rest of the story" and you do not like that.

Don't trust Fox News polling? No worries.

Try Quinnipiac: 18 Oppose; or Gallup: 16 Oppose. You'll like this one: ABC News/Washington Compost: 1 Oppose. All the others listed today on RCP Averages were in the double digits against.

Y'all have a good'un!
