LANETT, Ala. (AP) — Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is expected to announce several new jobs at a manufacturing facility in eastern Alabama.

Bentley said he will join other state and local officials at 10 a.m. Friday to make the announcement at Knauf Insulation in the Chambers County town of Lanett.

The governor said in a statement that Knauf Insulation manufactures building materials and construction systems. Knauf has more than 5,000 employees in more than 35 countries and more than 30 manufacturing sites.

Lanett is about 80 miles northeast of Montgomery and just across the Chattahoochee River from West Point, Ga.
