Police looking for two armed robbers who made off with safe from East Cobb eatery

Cobb Police are looking for two men who robbed an east Cobb eatery at gunpoint Sunday morning, bursting into the Common Quarter Restaurant at 1205 Johnson Ferry Road and demanding access to the safe.

According to investigators, two men wearing ski masks entered the restaurant through the back door about 7:30 a.m. and forced the employee by gunpoint into the office holding the safe. The employee was not able to open the safe and the robbers forced him into the cooler while the men took the safe and fled the restaurant.

The restaurant was not open at the time and there was only one employee working on preparations for opening.

The robbers were described as black, one being 5-foot-9 and 180 to 190 pounds, last seen wearing green cargo work pants, a navy blue jacket, work gloves and a black ski mask.  He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The other suspect was about 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds and wearing a black ski mask and work gloves.  He was also armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
