Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna is offering a TSH screening Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.

January is Thyroid Awareness Month and TSH blood tests help determine if your thyroid is functioning properly. An underactive thyroid can cause symptoms such as weight gain, fatigue and more. An overactive thyroid can cause weight loss, rapid heart rate and nervousness.

The screening will be in the hospital cafeteria. The cost is $15.

The hospital is at 3949 South Cobb Drive, Smyrna. Space is limited. To schedule an appointment, call (770) 319-2025.
