Tony Alan Carpenter, 58, of Marietta faces three misdemeanor charges after police say he defecated in public.

According to a warrant, Carpenter caused a traffic wreck when he made a right turn at the intersection of Old Sewell Road and Old Canton Road traveling into the opposite lane of traffic.

Police say he left the scene of the wreck without exchanging information with the victim and returned to his home. It was there that police say he took off his pants, exposing his genitals, and “squatted down and defecated in front of two minors and an adult unknown to him” after being instructed by law enforcement officials to remain at the home.

Carpenter was released on $5,000 bond.
