DALTON, Ga. (AP) — A floor covering company has announced plans to develop a manufacturing plant at the site of an existing facility in northwest Georgia.

The Dalton Daily Citizen reports that officials from IVC US confirmed that the company is planning to build an $80 million luxury vinyl plank and tile plant in Dalton.

Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce President Brian Anderson says the new facility is expected to create between 150 and 225 jobs within the next three years.

According to the company's website, IVC was founded in 1997 and employs more than 1,200 people in three divisions. The company's North American headquarters is also located in Dalton.
