Need help with Obamacare? On Jan. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m., the League of Women Voters Marietta-Cobb, Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and the American Association of University Women of Cobb County are conducting an Affordable Care Act/Medicaid Expansion Town Hall meeting. Karen Shockley from Enroll America and the Get Covered America campaign will talk about important aspects of the Affordable Care Act and how to enroll.

Get Covered America says 43 percent of the 40 million uninsured Americans do not know about their new health insurance options. Tim Sweeney, director of Health Policy at GA Budget & Policy Institute (GBPI), will talk about the current state of health care in Georgia and the benefits of Medicaid Expansion for Georgians. The GBPI says about 650,000 of the 1.8 million uninsured Georgians could qualify for health insurance if Georgia expanded Medicaid.

The event will be at the Charles D. Switzer Library (formerly Central Library) at 266 Roswell St. Marietta. Refreshments will be provided.
