Cobb police report armed robbery at Marietta business

Cobb police are investigating an armed robbery reported at the Shell station at 2678 Windy Hill Road in Marietta.

According to investigators, a man entered the Shell and walked about the store picking up various items.  As he made the small purchase at the counter and the cash register opened, he drew a handgun and demanded the cash from the register.  The man then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and the other items and got into a black vehicle, possibly a Toyota with a spoiler on the back of it, and was last seen heading towards I-75.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5-foot-8 and about 150 pounds with short hair.  He was between 25-33 years of age.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket with the “Air Jordan” logo on the upper left chest (in red) and jeans.  He also had on a black baseball cap with a Boston Redsox or Detroit Tigers logo on it.
