Deyvi Vladimir Maja Hernandez, of Marietta, is accused of lying to police about a vehicle wreck he was involved in while driving in violation of his driving permit.

Police say Hernandez told them a man in a ski mask placed a gun to his head and ordered him to drive.

He also told police he lost control of the vehicle and ran away after wrecking because he was afraid, but later admitted to police he “simply had an accident,” according to the arrest warrant.

The accident took place at Olive Springs and Judy Drive, according to the arrest warrant.

Hernandez had a Class CP instructional permit driver’s license and is charged with violating the terms of that license. According to the Georgia Department of Driver Services, a CP license requires a driver to have someone age 21 or older in the vehicle with them.

He is also charged with misdemeanor false report of a crime, misdemeanor hit and run, and misdemeanor failure to maintain lane.
