The Buccaneers jumped out to an early lead, and both teams agreed to double-forfeit the final six matches.
The victory earned Allatoona its second straight trip to the state duals, which begin Thursday in Macon.
Allatoona beat Rome in the winners’ bracket to advance to the finals against Woodland.
The Wildcats took a 20-0 lead before the Buccaneers came back with six straight victories. Ethan Benedict (132 pounds) and Jack Woods (138) posted back-to-back major decisions, and three consecutive decisions from Eric Vermette (145), Jacob Robinson (152) and Chris Valentine (160) moved Allatoona within 20-17.
Will Kemp’s major decision at 170 gave Allatoona its first lead, and following a Woodland pin, Cody Webb scored a pin at 195 for a 27-26 margin.
Woodland scored a pin in the final match at 220 to take a 32-27 win for the championship.
Sprayberry 65, Kennesaw Mountain 59: Armel Potter scored a game-high 28 points as the Yellow Jackets beat their county rival in a non-region game.
Sprayberry (11-4) benefited from its success at the free-throw line, where it was 29-for-37 (78.3 percent).
Nkem Ojeh added 15 points, six rebounds and four blocks, and David Tshamala scored 12. Potter had nine rebounds.
Andrew Jimenez scored 21 points for Kennesaw Mountain (3-8), with Maceo Inman scoring 12 and Nigel Hayes 11.
Sprayberry will resume Region 7AAAAA play at Pope on Tuesday. Kennesaw Mountain will travel to Hillgrove for a 4AAAAAA game.
Hillgrove 57, Kell 46: Even at 24-all at halftime, the Hawks pulled away in the second half of the non-region game.
Hillgrove’s Kyle Castlin led all scorers with 23 points, while B.J. Brown had 10, Jordan Julian eight and Antonio Wade seven.
Hillgrove (10-3) will host Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday in a Region 4AAAAAA game.
Grant Bryant had 22 points for Kell (5-9), which will host Osborne on Tuesday.
Harrison 82, Lassiter 65: Justice Morgan scored 27 points and was 14-of-20 from the free-throw line to lead the Hoyas to the non-region road win.
Brandon Powell, who made six of Harrison’s 12 3-pointers, finished with 22 points.
Derrick Lloyd and Evan Dunham each totaled 16 for Lassiter (3-10), while Justin Jackson added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Lassiter will host Woodstock on Tuesday, while Harrison is at South Cobb.
Osborne 76, Creekview 57: The Cardinals pulled away with a 21-9 fourth-quarter burst to take the Region 7AAAAA victory at home.
D’haire Haney contributed 20 points and three assists for Osborne, while Kyrie Hogan drained four of the team’s seven 3-pointers for 19 points with three steals.
Jaquinton Thompson added 14 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for Osborne, which is at Kell on Tuesday.
Allatoona 60, Paulding County 49: Daniel Fowler’s near triple-double paced the Buccaneers to a Region 5AAAAA victory.
Allatoona built a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter before settling for the 11-point win.
Fowler finished the night with 15 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Rodney Brown scored 12 points, Trey Tshimanga nine and Bradley Brevet had eight.
The Buccaneers (13-0, 6-0) will host North Paulding on Tuesday.
McEachern 65, Pebblebrook 58: The Indians used an 18-6 run in the third quarter to get past the Falcons for a Region 4AAAAAA victory.
The key to the victory was keeping Pebblebrook’s Ty Hudson scoreless in the third quarter. Hudson finished with a game-high 27 points.
Logan McIntosh led four McEachern players in double figures with 18 points. Jordan Adeboye finished with 14 points, Freddie Brown and A.J. Jones each scored 12 and Lawrence Caster added nine points and 12 rebounds.
Thrae Mitchell had 16 points for Pebblebrook.
McEachern (10-2, 5-1) will host Campbell on Tuesday.
Walker 54, Our Lady of Mercy 47: Robert Baker recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebonds and the Wolverines preserved the non-region road win.
Walker (6-5), which led 34-28 entering the fourth quarter, saw Zach Eikost add 11 points. Ahmad McCullough totaled eight, and Spencer Palladino added seven.
Walker will host St. Francis in Region 6A play Tuesday.
Dominion Christian 60, Bulloch Academy 53 (OT): The Knights got the most out of their four-hour trip to Statesboro, prevailing in overtime.
Dominion (5-5) got to the extra period after Levi Lewallen hit a game-tying layup with about 25 seconds left in regulation. The fourth quarter was key for the Knights, who rallied from an 11-point deficit, thanks largely to Jordan Dorsey’s seven points in the period.
In all, Dorsey finished with 29 points and nine rebounds, and he and Tate Cooney both hit key 3-pointers that gave the Knights space in overtime.
Lewallen had nine points and seven rebounds for Dominion, which will host Deerfield-Windsor on Friday.
Hillgrove 60, Kell 38: The Lady Hawks only led 23-22 at halftime, but they outscored the Lady Longhorns 19-5 in the third quarter and 27-16 in the second half to pull out the non-region win at home.
Mackenzie Engram totaled 23 points, eight rebounds and two assists for Hillgrove (12-2). Tene Thompson added 10 points, three boards and three blocks, while freshman Jalyn Reese chipped in a career-high 10 assists and six points on her birthday.
Santavia Grant and Onyx Henderson each scored 16 points for Kell.
Hillgrove will host Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday.
Harrison 51, Lassiter 46: The Lady Hoyas rallied from a 34-29 deficit at the end of the third quarter to post the non-region road win.
Harrison (11-5), which outscored Lassiter 22-12 in the fourth quarter, connected on two 3-pointers and made 10 of 11 free throws in the final period to grab the victory.
Sydne Wiggins was 9-of-11 on free throws and led Harrison with 20 points. Melissa Bartow and Kayla Wright each scored seven.
Maeve Vitale had 14 points for Lassiter (6-7), while Emile Olsen had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Kennesaw Mountain 46, Sprayberry 40: The Lady Mustangs made 13 of 18 free throws, going 5-for-6 in the fourth quarter, to record a non-region win at home.
Anna Stewart totaled 12 points for Kennesaw Mountain (4-7) while Jaylah Carr added 10. Sara Zimmerman drained three 3-pointers and had nine points.
Jada Richardson had 10 points for Sprayberry (4-10).
Kennesaw Mountain will be at Hillgrove on Tuesday, while Sprayberry will visit Pope.
Osborne 65, Creekview 61: The Lady Cardinals made four free throws in the final minute and saw their 27-23 halftime lead hold up in posting the Region 7AAAAA win at home.
Zutorya Cook totaled 21 points and seven assists for Osborne (10-5, 5-0), while Nikira Goings added 20 points and six steals. Alexis Singletary collected eight points and six boards for Osborne, which is at Kell on Tuesday.
