Warrant: Two charged with theft after pocketing cash

Stevie Lynn Williams, of Austell, was charged Dec. 18 with theft after police say she pocketed $716 of cash from the register at Howards Restaurant at 652 Concord Road, Smyrna. Williams stole the cash from 36 different transactions between Sept. 11 and Oct. 2, 2013, after voiding out the food bills from the register, according to the warrant. She was arrested and held on a $1,000 bond.

Allison Starr Cooper, of Smyrna, was also charged with theft after police say she took money from the restaurant as well, between June and October 2013, a warrant said. Cooper is accused of taking $2740 in cash from the Howards Restaurant, pocketing the money from 154 transactions and voiding the bills from the register, according to a warrant. She was arrested and held on a $5,000 bond at a Cobb jail, a warrant said.
